    This website lists the same equation but with different letters.

    (x^3 + y^3 + z^3) = 42

    The answer is (allegedly)

    X = -80538738812075974 Y = 80435758145817515 Z = 12602123297335631

    If this is the answer then 100% he knows you just googled it and it was not meant for you to solve.

    Start guessing. {I am guessing 1 or 2 of the numbers might be negative.} [You can make calculations easier by setting up an excel spreadsheet.] ## EDIT - according to the answer by ANON my idea would take forever (too get that high).

    a³ + b³ + c³ = 42

    Can't be figured out.

    a = 0

    b = 0

    c = 42^(1/3)

    Nothing says they have to be integers.

    Ouch. You just hurt my brain! Algebra was one of my better subjects. (I'm getting old.)

    You have one equation with three unknowns.  There are an infinite number of solutions.
