I want to travel from Ohio to Chicago by car is there a travel ban for these states?

Not at all. You can travel from state to state. There are no bans.
Why would you think there were any? Do you not read the news at all?

So far, I haven't heard of any bans. But check the news daily, as this situation is still fluid.

There are no restrictions on interstate travel.

There is no travel ban.
However, some gas stations that use to be open 24 hours, may only be open fewer hours.

Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois each has a shelter in place or similar edict from its Governor. But I don't think there is a travel ban for essential travel.
What you really should be concerned about is your destination. If you're going to a site where others will be gathering as a crowd, like a workplace or a meeting, then that's probably banned in Illinois. Even if you're going to see family or friends, do you really want to risk infection from them or risk giving them the virus as you might be an asymptomatic carrier now.Source(s): ABC News as of yesterday.

There never has been anything in the news about people being questioned about traveling from one state to another.

At this moment there are no travel bans for going from state to state but it isn't a good idea. You may be carrying the virus and not know it. That is the whole idea of staying home. If everyone stays at home the virus will run out of people to infect and will die off.
