Yes, it's a good way to build up endurance. Boxers do lots of it.

Sure. It will help. Not all the way. Sprinting is more translatable to martial arts than jogging. I know people are going to say it's bad to sprint, but I've sprinted my whole life practically and I have no joint issues and arthritis runs in my family. None yet.

The benefits of running or any type of cardiovascular exercises is that it increases endurance/stamina, strengthens the heart, and helps in keeping you at a lower fat percentage.
However, like all exercsises it has to be done correctly and at the right frequency. Exercises of any type does not build up; they tear down. It is the rest and proper nutrition you give your body after exercising that allow it to rebuild and make stronger the affected parts of your body. That means you do not want to under or over train.

Yes, running is beneficial to a martial artist because it improves your stamina and desensitizes the bones. Too much running is not good because it could damage the joints. Low impact cardio exercises are also very good for stamina.

Being healthy and in shape is always a benefit. To stand there and just get kicked is no way to win or no way to be able to walk out of a ring.
