How can they still be giving homework in school?
Parents get their kids' school work from the schools and they do it at. why?
So is everyone homeschooled now?

Because school isn't out; it's just taking place outside of the school building. So, naturally kids still have homework.
There's no more reason to think parents are doing the homework now than there would have been when kids were going to a school building every day. Homework is homework. It's done at home whether the kids are attending school outside of the home or not.
People are homeschooling but with the online instruction of their regular teachers, not parents.

I don’t know if any parents who are doing their children’s homework for them. Many students from all grades have Chrome books. They are doing their school work through them.
Teachers are still lesson plans and grading the students work. Everyone wants students be able to finish out the school year and move on to their next grade level in the fall.

Because the school year isn't over yet, even though the schools themselves are closed because of the pandemic. Kids need to keep up with their studies, because they will eventually be faced with exams once the health crisis passes and the schools reopen.

At present, all public schools in the US have closed, and are sending assignments to the students electronically.
The parents should not be doing the homework for the kids, but should work with their children to see that it's done correctly and on time.
