Atheists, Why do you watch horror movies if you don't believe in existence of ghosts and God?
- EddieJLv 72 months agoFavorite Answer
Those movies usually have hot women. How have you not realized that?

Hold on there.
Atheists don't believe in the existence of any god. That doesn't mean some of us don't believe in ghosts or other supernatural phenomena.
Why do you assume there must be a connection between God and ghosts?

We watch Star Trek, but don't believe in Klingons. Sci fi is entertainment. We can't believe in every alien sci fi.

Oh, they’re fun. They have nothing to do with God. And ghosts and monsters also have nothing to do with God.

I don't, but are you aware that horror movies are fiction?
- bender_xr217Lv 72 months ago
Actually, I find horror movies rather boring and predictable.

Not a fan of horror movies but I am sure The Mummy 1999 was not based in any ghost or your GOD... the old Mummy movies were more into horror... but I can separate fictional tales from reality, I know that some kind of people got trouble with that

I watched "Cinderella" without believing in Fairy Godmothers. Watched "Shrek" without believing in ogres. Watched Johnny Cash sing "Folsom Prison Blues" without believing he was enough a a psychopath to have "...shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die"! Watched "BEN HUR" without believing that Mr. Hur ever existed. Watched Tim Allen in "The Santa Clause", without CURRENTLY believing in Santa.
Sometimes, things are entertaining, without NEEDING to be believable.

Because they are entertaining
