Is 97 degrees body temperature normal?

    yes--it is normal-now=-I just read this article that said humans have been cooling down and our normal temp is no longer 98.6!!

    which was good because I've been getting a lot of 97 s on my thermometer too!

    98.6° F is the average, normal body temperature.  So be sure of one thing, you have no fever.

    Yes - 97 degrees is  normal temperature. Normal body temperature can range from 97.8 F to 99 F for a healthy adult.  

    The normal body temperature of a person varies depending on gender, recent activity, food and fluid consumption, time of day, and in women, the stage of  the menstrual cycle.

    It is just a little low. The norm is 98.6 degrees, Fahrenheit.

    Not anymore, but if that is your temp you are alright.  Studies have shown that the "normal" body temperature ranges from 97°F (36.1°C) to 99°F (37.2°C) and has been decreasing over the last century.

      Could be a good explanation, another one is that our food has become more calorie rich and does not take as much energy to digest,
