98.6° F is the average, normal body temperature. So be sure of one thing, you have no fever.

Yes - 97 degrees is normal temperature. Normal body temperature can range from 97.8 F to 99 F for a healthy adult.
The normal body temperature of a person varies depending on gender, recent activity, food and fluid consumption, time of day, and in women, the stage of the menstrual cycle.

Not anymore, but if that is your temp you are alright. Studies have shown that the "normal" body temperature ranges from 97°F (36.1°C) to 99°F (37.2°C) and has been decreasing over the last century.
