Is vaping the same as smoking?

Or is smoking cigarettes stronger?

Vaping is a lot worse. I've smoked for about 27 years. After two days of switching to vaping... I thought my heart was going to explode, and I was going to die.

They're both unnecessary, expensive, addicting, make you look like a douchebag ..

Cigarettes that you smoke have all sorts of harmful chemicals in them besides tobacco such as tars.

They aren't the same, but I know that it's a fact they're both bad for you. I'm not saying you absolutely have to quit either if you do, but it's not the best choice for you. I don't know which one is stronger, because I haven't done either.

Vaping is starting to appear to be MORE HARMFUL than smoking cigarettes. Just as addictive, but teens have died from it, and smoking a cigarette never killed anyone THAT quickly.

What's "starting to appear" is media sensationalism.

With smoking you are burning/combusting tobacco (and any additives) and inhaling it along with its particulates, and the resulting carbon monoxide.

Vaping heats up a solution of two food-grade substances, flavorings, and nicotine, to the point of becoming an inhalable vapor.

Nicotine addiction is a pain in the *** any way, But I am inclined to believe that vaping is probably safer. Problem is, vaping is relatively new and people who vape are basically "guinea pigs" in what they are doing -- the long-term consequences of vaping are still unclear.

Not true.  Vape liquids come in various strengths, including 0% nicotine.
