ruined a brand new phone case with acetone?

I just got a new otterbox in the mail today, spilled nail polish remover on the inside, and now it’s cloudy and cracked white on the inside. I tried dish soap and water, hydrogen peroxide, and rubbing alcohol to get it off, but nothing gets it. What can I put it in to get this junk off???

Because the acetone had a chemical reaction with the plastic case, it is permanently marred. I would get creative and maybe mix acetone with some pigments(nail polish) and create a colored design on the case. You have nothing to lose.

Nothing will remove it because it has eaten into the plastic, not lying on the surface.

Acetone is one of those chemicals that EAT PLASTIC so it is F. up.  There is no fix. Buy another one or paint this one as it is garbage or live with it.

You can't do a thing. You've damaged the plastic with the acetone. It isn't going to wash off.

Not going to wash off an acetone reaction to plastic. Never.

Acetone is an organic solvent so it has reacted with the plastic.

You will need to discard it and get another.

There's nothing to get off. It's not on there. It reacted with the plastic chemically. Sorry.

Nothing.  As you said, you ruined it.  The acetone ATE the plastic.  What on earth were you doing with acetone on the phone case for?

There is nothing on there, the surface is scarred. Acetone is a very strong solvent and it actually begins to dissolve plastic.

Sorry, but as you said, it's ruined.

There is nothing that will "take it off" or repair it.
