    No. IF you have no job because you chose not to have a job, you do not qualify for unemployment.

    Quitting has generally disqualified unemployment insurance. And it’s not your decision what businesses should shut their doors.

    Dunno about VA, but in CA if you quit, you can't get unemployment benefits...period. So no matter what your rational for quitting might be, you can't collect unemployment benefits. You have to be furloughed or the company fail to get those benefits.
