How are minor league ballplayers supposed to live on 400 dollars a week during the Covid-19 pandemic and how do you feel about that amount?
bq: Who do you know personally that is / was likely to play in the minors this season (if you don't want to give their name, please say major league team, current level and highest level reached) ?
True Curtis, but the life of a minor league baseball player (and other sports, from what
I've been told) seems to mean a lot of more of their days are spent practicing, playing, travelling even recovering from their work than most people working a low-paying job.

Many minor leaguers actually make less than that so yeah it is manageable but shows just how corrupt the minor league system is.

There are people who actually work for a living and make less than $400 a week, so to screw minor league players. If that's not a livable wage then go back to school, earn a degree, and get a real job.
Most of these guys are trying to hit the lottery because just 10% of minor league players ever make the majors. If they're struggling financially it may be time to grow up and get on with their life.

1600 a month is more than what a lot of them get paid normally. It's not enough, but that's not about the virus.
How much do you think they make?

That 400 per player comes out to about 1.5 million a week being paid out in total by the teams. I think that's more than fair of them for being idle. It's a tough situation for everyone in the world. Minor league players are not excluded. They need to file for unemployment like everyone else.
