Are natural disasters more common?

Yes, they are more common "Per year in North America" than the number of tails on a typical dog, but less common than "the number of ants in Tennessee". That's an answer with a comparison, and thought the numbers are extreme at least they experess a complete thought. Thanks for the 2 points.

Your question is incomplete. If you ask, 'Is x more common' your sentence is incomplete. It has to be, 'Is x more common than y'. So, to complete your question you need to ask, 'Are natural disasters more common than [insert what you want to compare]?'
If you want to know if there is a greater number of natural disasters that should have been your question, e.g. Is the frequency of natural disasters increasing?

Actually less are happening now!
We are just more aware of them as we have more population and worldwide sensational reporting

The problem is not what is going on in the world but our attitude toward it..

More common than what.
If you mean more common now than in the past, no. What has changed is media reporting, instant access 24/7 to news from around the world. So you hear about things today you would never have heard about 10 years ago.

Quite the reverse! The world has been cooling for years, so volcanoes and earthquakes have been steadily reducing. the weather has also reduced and tornadoes and storms are far fewer and much tamer!

Seems that way sometimes. We are ruining the planet. IT MAKES me cry.

Natural disasters are infinitely more common than deities.
