In lockdown is to slow down the number of people who catch it today so the numbers don't overwhelm the hospitals, available doctors and medical equipment.  More people who get it will survive this way.  Because to be immune, you have to survive.  Then, same goal tomorrow.

This is nothing to do with Etiquette. Move it to 'Health'.

It's every user's responsibility to check where their question has been posted, and to move it if it's in the wrong category. ANYONE can move their own questions, regardless of what level they are.

A lockdown isn't intended to give you immunity to coronavirus. It's intended to halt the spread of the virus. I don't think anyone can ever be totally immune to any virus. Every virus mutates somewhat every year; so the following year you're no longer immune to that year's new, mutated virus.

The lockdown is so that the spread of the virus is controlled, not to induce immunity. Were you really not aware of that?

DUH! 🙄  Some people may never become "immune" to the Coronavirus.  But... A) It won't spread if everyone practices 'social distancing'.  B) Gives scientists & doctors a chance to maybe - just maybe come up with a vaccine.

Are you really that stupid?  🤔  Rhetorical question.  But then again, you probably have no idea what rhetorical means either.

We don't want to even try to be immune. Well we do, (thanks jon) but that is from getting vaccinated. What we want to do is to not get the virus in the first place. To go out and intentionally get the virus so we get immunity to it is like jumping out of a plane without a parachute to toughen ourselves up when we fall! LOL. By the way, wear a parachute if you jump out of a plane. And stay inside and don't get the virus in the first place. That way you increase your chances, and everyone else's chances, of staying alive.
