Can Unequally yoked marriages work?

I have a friend who's married to a man that isn't a Christian like her. She tries to tell him about the Bible and Jesus but he gets mad and wants to argue. He even said he was tired of dealing with Christian ****. He has hit her, she has called the police on him twice and he has left her several times and they've only been married for 2 years. I don't know if the marriage will work out or not. Can being unequal work as long as she prays that he changes?

    It's very difficult.

Put her in touch with a shelter for battered women. There's not much you can really do as long as she refuses to help herself.

Yes, especially if she follows the Bible about her exact situation (emp. added).

1Pet 3:1 Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over WITHOUT WORDS by the behavior of their wives, 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, 6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.

She should drop the religion subject and simply be a loving submissive doting wife to him, even respectfully calling him "Lord" on occasion.

Hitting is another subject, and the police should be involved, as well as his parents and man-friends if they have any influence on him.  She should have a place to go if she feels threatened.  But she shouldn't divorce him, unless he commits adultery on her (Mt 19:9).

Why did she marry this idiot? Or why did he marry a sanctimonious woman?

I doubt prayer will work. It doesn't work for anything else.

If you respect each other boundaries.  If he's not interested in Christianity, why does she keep bringing it up when her intent, whether she wants to admit it, is because she wants him to convert to her religion.  She's likely no more interested in learning about his religion.  if you can't respect each other position, they shouldn't have gotten married.

Paul's letters are not Gospel. Paul was never a disciple or an apostle of Jesus, and all 3 different versions of his Damascus RD. story are fake. He wrongly thought an Apostle was greater than a Prophet which is why he chose to call himself an apostle.
