If drinking alcohol isn’t a sin, why did Jesus turn wine into water?

Wasn’t he trying to show that alcoholic beverages (such as wine) are a sin?

It has never been a sin.  The bible tells us not to drink with the intention of getting drunk on a consistent basis, but does not explicitly forbid using alcohol in moderation.

Drinking alcohol is a sin, since it is the mother of all evils.

He was successfully providing wine where the host's supply ran out. It was a party.

Getting drunk is the sin. You can still get buzzed. My limit are as follows.

    2 bottles beer

    2 glasses wine

    3 shots hard liquor

After any of that I get drunk so I never go more than that.
