Can you avoid being detected by the police by using public wifi to post certain posts or things you don't want traced back to you?

So there's this thing that I've heard from multiple people who have said that cyber criminals will often use public wifi to post stuff that they don't want to be traced back to them. Some people say that these people do this by parking out at a parking lot like wal mart or etc and log onto the public wifi and either post threats, steal bank info or hack some type of website. I'm curious if this is even true. Can this actually work if you don't want stuff traced back to you ??

It is true, and almost guaranteed that it will work. ๐Ÿ‘Œ Yep, you can avoid being traced or detected by ๐Ÿš“ ๐Ÿšจ LE ๐Ÿ‘ฎ by using public wi-fi. That's a very clever way to get by with dubious deeds. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ‘‚ ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿ˜ฑ Never use your home wi-fi or internet for illegal reasons. ๐Ÿ“ฒ ๐Ÿ“Ÿ

It might make it harder, but not impossible no. Computers have a fingerprint that is being left when you go to those sites. When you constantly do things from your home it's easier to find the source. When you go on public wi-fi they'd know the device's fingerprint but it's harder to find the device.ย
