He has no job and knows only crime. He can't find a job easily, though he has paid his price to society. He has about $100 and a suit, but must find work quickly. Businesses don't want to hire ex-cons because they return to their old ways of crime.

Often they are on parole for a certain amount of time, depending on the nature and severity of their crime and how much of their sentence they have served, it might vary. They might be tracked for awhile with an ankle bracelet. They might have to check in weekly for a year or two with a parole officer. They may just go free in some cases.

He falls back into crime because it is very rare they can find a place of work willing to hire an ex con.

  • Christianity is over represented in American prison inmate population. Therefore when released most criminals would probably go to a church to pray with the other criminals.
