Is not wanting to commit to things a sign of immaturity?

    no, common sense. 

    it is OK to say "no" to commitment and to committed-relationships,  and to marriage.

    the things that you do put your life into, you are doing without thinking about them.

    A commitment is a personal choice. You have the right to commit or not. Consider the long term rewards of committing. Sometimes they are worth the commitment.

    Yes, as there’s an underlying fear of failure. Those more mature have already experienced failure in a lot of areas and move forward.
