Why are there so many morons who want to take it out on Chinese people that coronavirus is happening?

In my city, there are reports of Chinese restaurants getting vandalized or Chinese people getting bullied, even attacked.

IMO there should be swift and severe penalties for people who engage in this kind of behaviour.

The world is full of morons. Fortunately, they're the ones most likely to die from Covid19.

    The virus originated in China.

It's because of media fear-mongering. The virus is serious, but the media is purposefully trying to incite panic.

You can't do anything about stereotype. It will happen always as along as there are wicked people.

If someone feels fear or pain, and cannot face it or cope with it, then they try to hide it with anger. And once they feel anger they have to find (or fabricate) some "reason" for their anger, so they look for someone or something to blame.

It is very unfortunate that innocent people of Chinese background are being harmed for something they themselves did not do.

Thank Donald Trump for directing their anger against Chinese by calling it the "China virus". Trump would rather have you hate each other than blame him or get angry with him.

Even the people in China are not to blame for this coronavirus.

There is a lot of fear going on right now. We have to pull together as human beings if we are going to handle the threat of the pandemic.
