What is the spectrum of life in Syria?

Obviously in the news there is a lot of death and destruction depicted in syria. Im not even gonna try to get into the fact that the west is trying to change the regime in syria for its own benefit, or who is at fault in this entire crisis.

My question is what is life like day to day for people in Syria? Is it just complete misery for everyone, and everyone is poor and hiding from bombs. Forgive my ignorance, just want to know what types of things are going on, based on people that live there. Thanks

The spectrum is Syria was once the birth of civilisation as part of Mesopotamia and the sumerians  the stars were mapped the seasons planned  they earned a right to be part of the human race  they are a culture that's different and can be volatile and have struggled to maintain their identity for thousands of years and strong leadership is needed General Grant shot many an American young man in the civil war no one took sides then calling Grant  a terrorist

Syria was a relatively modern country, something like Turkey, before the Assad regime, the anti-Assad rebels and ISIS set out to destroy it. The conflicts now seem to be mainly in the north of the country and some refugees have returned to the south from Lebanon. How much life has returned to normal for them is an unknown.
