Can the Fed print money secretly?

....And then give it away to the poor by saying this money came from the emergency relief fund?

The treasury is who actually prints currency.

What you're referring to is quantitative easing which has the same effect but is not actually printing currency.

@David- The Fed is the common name for the federal reserve. Everyone knows that. Try to keep up.

I do know that, but some also use it to refer to the FEDeral government in general.  Treasury is part of the Federal government,

No. Anything else? Anything that makes sense?

The Treasury Department is actually the entity responsible for printing paper currency and minting coins, overseeing the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), and the U.S. Mint. ....  So WHO are you calling the Fed?  The Federal Reserve Bank? << they do not print money.

    • Secret Service would be in a tizzy, no doubt.
