Why did they change the chime on new schoolhouse clocks?
The new schoolhouse clock they have marketed out here, there are only probably around 3 made of solid real wood.
They also changed the chime on them to sound realistic instead of computery sounding. While they sound real they also sound like they’ve been tape recorded from a real chime rod clock. They also are using progressive Westminster chimes whereas every 15 minutes it chimes half Westminster until the full hour and then it chimes full Westminster.
I miss the computery chimes and them only chiming the hour and half hour.
Doesn’t it suck that I have to go with a plastic one now to get the computery chime sound and that doesn’t play every 15 minutes.

So go into business and make the best one!
Or if not, make one for yourself, that's what I do!

No it doesn't suck. It's called progress, cheap progress. Design what you want, build it and sell it to the schools for what they want to pay. Good luck.
It's all very chiming.
