On March 16, 2020 Churchill Downs announced the Kentucky Derby will be held Sept. 5, during Labor Day weekend. The Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes status is in flux as the country deals with the Coronavirus pandemic. However, if the details can be worked out the Preakness would be held on Sept. 19 at Pimlico and the Belmont on Oct. 10 at Belmont Park. Of course, all the changes would be subject to approval of the states’ regulatory agencies. All this is obviously on a wait and see basis.

For now, the Kentucky Derby has been moved to early September. The other two races are expected to follow suit and move as well.
