My cat caught a mouse and brought it back to me. What's the best way of killing it?

Stomp on it and throw it away.

The answers here are out of order. Get a humane mouse trap off amazon and put some cheese in it. Then take the mouse outside. Or put something over it like a small bowl. Slip a piece of cardboard under the bowl. Gently lift it and take it outside.

Do you mean killing the mouse or the cat? If you want to kill the cat, the best way is to get it euthanized. If you want to kill the mouse, drown it, strangle it, bash it’s head on a wall?

Place the cats head up the exhaust pipe of your car. Flush the mouse down the toilet.

What your cat did doesn't justify killing it ! ..,...It's what cats do !...If you don't want the kitty anymore give it to someone who cares .

I think he meant he wanted to kill the mouse not the cat

Most people just take their cat to the vet to be euthanized..  But in some areas, shooting is legal

Take it outside, using gloves, and put it in the hedge. It'll either recover or die (more likely if the cat has been playing with it). Let nature take its course.

Just bash it on the head with something.

If the cat has been playing with it there is a good chance it will die from internal injuries.
