If Jesus chose to fulfill the prophecy and die on the cross and descend into hell to lead out the righteous does this mean it was suicide?
Since he chose for it to be that way...

He did not go to hell to lead out the righteous as there were none righteous in hell. No it does not mean it was suicide, it was a sacrifice He obeyed His father and did

No , as Jesus is God ,and God is the Author of life.
(Jesus Had the Authority to do so)...
10:17 The Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again.
10:18 No one takes it from me; I lay it down of my own free will, and
* as it is in my power to lay it down,
*so it is in my power to take it up again;
and this is the command I have been given by my Father.'"
His Human Nature was in anguish...
Luke22:41 Then he withdrew from them, about a stone's throw away, and knelt down and prayed.
22:42 'Father,' he said 'if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, let your will be done, not mine.'
22:43 Then an angel appeared to him, coming from heaven to give him strength.
22:44 In his anguish he prayed even more earnestly, and his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood.
