Replacing a BMW valve cover is a nightmare of a job. I did one for the first time a couple of months ago. Make sure you take the rubber seal off of the cowl by the windshield and cut an area 8 inches wide by 1/2" deep so you can get the valve cover back on without knocking the new gasket off. Better find out about that beer can size actuator mounted on the passenger side of the valve cover.

I wouldn't recommend trying to replace the valve cover yourself and you will discover why!

Shouldn't be too difficult to find a replacement but you might have to buy a pair if it's a V-block engine. GMP Performance might have what you need.

With a big enough hammer, anything can be made to fit.
