How are McDonald’s fries so long?

I’ve never seen a potato that big

    They buy a particular breed grown especially for McDonald's. They are big and long

    The fries at the drive thru are not only long, but cold. For the price,I would at least like hot fries.

    Oh sure.........they use only the longest potatoes. 

    I grow potatoes in my garden, and sometimes they are small, and sometimes, you get some real winners.

    Potatoes can grow that big. The big potatoes have been screened out of the ones you see at the market.
