Does Chicago look like New York?

    In parts it does, because some neighborhoods were built up at the same time, by the same type of European people.

    Not really. New York, especially Manhattan, is very dense (a lot more people in a little area).

    Not in my opinion. They are both large major  cities.  But their lay outs are different. I think they look different and definitely have a different atmosphere. Their small neighborhoods look different.

    Not really.  Downtown Chicago ("the Loop") is pushed up against Lake Michigan, whereas Manhattan's skyline is mostly on an island in the Hudson River.  One way they DO look alike, though, is that most of the houses are made of brick or stone.
