If France is a developed country, why can't the people there speak English ?

Many French people speak English quite well. The problem is that many native English speakers don't or won't speak any other language. Most of the world uses languages other than English.

Most French people DO speak English. That being said, English is not the sign of being developed. In fact, it's not even the most used language in the world.

Most people in France can speak English as well as French.
How many other languages do you speak? or didn't you go to school?
