If women could not get pregnant at age 35, then I have an imaginary sister, as do my other sister and brother. She's also our parents' imaginary child...

Yes, my mom had her last kid (naturally) at 46.

    Of course. Many women do.

I know a couple of women who had a child in their late 40s -- and without fertility treatment. THAT is unusual, but it's not unusual to have a child at 35.

I had my first at 33 & second at 39.  I was fit and healthy and both pregnancies, went reasonably well.

She can, but it’s not a very good idea. The child has a much higher chance of having birth defects and Down syndrome. Nobody should be having kids at 35. I have 3 kids, had them when I was 18, 21, and 27 and they all turned out great. My neighbor had her first child at 34 and she had many things wrong with her and ended up dying at 2 years old.

Actually, growing evidence indicates that paternal age is more important to fetal health than maternal age, but a father of only 35 doesn't have a huge chance of causing a defect.

I hope so, because I'm 34 and want to start a family soon.
