If the names are not retired, in the Year 2030 what will be the name of the hurricane that starts with the letter D?
And why, mathematically.

It will be Debby. Hurricane names are reused every six years. Assuming Debby is not retired after the 2024 season, it will be reused again in 2030.Source(s): https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/aboutnames.shtml

Debby, same as in 2024 and 2018. The World Meteorological Society uses the same names every 6 years. This is for the Atlantic and Caribbean hurricanes. There are different lists for the eastern Pacific and western Pacific ( typhoons) and southern Pacific and Indian Ocean (cyclones), but they repeat every 6 years, unless retired. Daniel for the eastern Pacific in 2024 and 2030.
