Another book suggestion ?

I would like to broaden my horizon in terms of book genres. I tend to only read science fiction. However. I was wondering if there are any books that are set in the old times (knight and crusaders) or even kings and how they take over countries. Also, if the book is easy to read as well as Iv started to read again and I don’t want to dig my head deep into sand. Also, please no sad books. Thank you!

Why don't you explore books of different genres choose for yourself. You said you want to broaden your horizon, yet in asking for suggestions you name only one type of book, you said it must be easy reading, and no sad stories. That's quite a big order when asking someone else to select a book for you. That doesn't sound like someone who wants to broaden their horizon.

Broaden my horizon means to reach to different areas. Even if it includes 1. I’m not an adult and so my wording isn’t great.

It's not based upon any specific time period but it was the book series that introduced me into the knight and crusaders and middle age genre: The enchanted forest chronicles by Patricia Collins Wrede

    3 really good books……….

    The Source by J. Mitchner…..Crusades

The Bard by M. Llywelyn….Middle Ages

The Egyptian by M. Waltari….Ancient Egypt

They're classics and most read of the genre...historical fiction novels.

All are easy reading, they're not sad.
