Soc.Sec./ SSI v Rent Rate ?

I am living on low SS. and SSI. If my rent were to go DOWN about $25 Mo. would this in turn lower my SSI benefits ?? If yes, by what amount or percentage ?

no, as long as you are still paying your fair share of housing and food, SSI is not reduced.

Your SSI won't change.  Once they determine how much you qualify for, that's what you will get, month after month after month.  It won't go up and it won't go down.
