Yes, quite, although  my father-in-law was quite good at it and actually taught Hebrew. My husband isn't bad at it, though he will tell you that it is definitely difficult to learn, and he is multilingual.

Both of them studied it for years.

    In a word, yes.

Extremely!  I tried it.  I printed up each Hebrew letter on a single 8 X 11.5 sheet of paper, and it STILL caused eye strain!  Even worse, it is annoying that I can't find any Hebrew word-processing programs that include those "vowel points."

Hebrew is a Semitic language with a rich history, complicated grammar and a different script. It's harder than Spanish, French or German, but not exceptionally hard.

For an English speaker Hebrew is a Category II language, harder than Spanish or German, but easier than Chinese or Arabic.

I have been  trying to learn it. On an elementary level, it doesn't appear to be hard.

Probably. It's pointless to learn though

It can't be that hard! Lots of very young children speak it quite fluently!
