I couldn't understand the meaning of this sentence. How can I say it differently?

it's that one missed question that just sort of toys with you, doesn't it?

    You do an exam, you miss a question, you get annoyed about it, because there is nothing you can do about it now.

    nothing like a bit of context with these things.
