False reporting is the reason why this is happening. The staffers don't get involved until the appeals are launched by the users.

Posts are deleted when enough users report them as violations. Although there are times when non-violating posts get reported enough to be removed, it's more common for posts to be removed that the OP (and even some respondents) didn't think were violations or didn't consider them to be serious enough violations to warrant being reported. Many users seem to think just because a question doesn't contain profanity or insults, it must be okay to post. Without knowing what specific questions you're referring to, we can't tell you if those questions were violations or not (posts removed can be appealed, if the OP chooses to try to get them reinstated).

Yahoo is Community Moderated the Staff does not Moderate the Boards the only time they Ever take a look at something is If someone Sends in a Appeal for something that got Deleted

because they get reported by enough people.

Once upon a time we got notified about deletions so we could appeal the wrongful deletions and reduce the trustrating of those who did the reporting, but it seems Verizon has economised them away to save on personnel-costs

Examples sure would help. Outside of the political questions and personal feuds, they are usually a violation of the rules. You may just not know why. If you want to know the reason for the violation, post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add the original e-mail you got and/or any details you remember so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you. Many times the violation is not in the question, but in the added details and updates.

  • Because someone does not like you, the subject of your question, or just do not like anything about anyone and just troll and report.  It may take one report or many reports to take down your question.  Some here have multi accounts and use it to take down post.  But server computers have nothing to do with it.  It is other users who take down your questions.  Using the help menu and appealing the violation is a good chance to stop these trolls by them losing their trust level.

Sometimes it's not the content of the question itself, but the fact that those questions are posted over and over again.  Other times, it's false reporting.
