Cold shower therapy instructions for beginners?

I want to start doing cold shower therapy every day. I read online to start lowering the temperature at the end of your usual shower. Keep lowering until it gets very cold and you’re uncomfortable and to take deep breaths (doing this for about 5 minutes). Is this a good method?
