Why is it that people will support some progressive causes but not others? ?
Like, I will support ALL progressive causes. But some people will support women's rights, gay rights, but not trans rights and vice versa. And some people will not support animal rights and environmental rights. WHY? Are they corrupted by the capitalist state of oppression?

It's because humans are more complex than our current political system allows. The reason nearly half of all registered voters are not party affiliated is because the status quo lacks nuance. One should be able to want gun control but still think illegal immigration is a problem. They should be able to support same gender marriage but disagree with abortion if that's how they feel about the issues. Fewer and fewer of us are comfortable with this two-sizes-fit-all method of representation and governance. But specific to party platforms there's also a lot of incongruence. I.e. The GOP generally doesn't support abortion but at the same time doesn't generally support expanded welfare to support children born without adequate resources. Meanwhile some on the left support things like taxpayer funded healthcare and postsecondary education but also support the open borders that would virtually bankrupt those systems. So, yeah, politics is complicated, inconsistent and far too often practiced with emotion rather than sound fiscal knowledge.

Nah. We just don't agree about everything. Your problem is you think you're the one who knows best, and anyone disagrees is (as you put it), corrupt.
