What is a good external microphone for cell phones to record concert audio with?
Preferably something I can get off of Amazon or anywhere that would ship pretty quick. Looking for something in the $30-50 range.
The concert will be a pretty loud rock/metal concert if that helps.

This is a recent review of what are supposed to be the best smartphone-compatible mics:
There are some on the $40 - $50 range.
Do not expect too much if using anything that connects via a 3.5mm jack, as the microphone input circuits in most phones are not really designed for high quality music recording.
They are also strictly mono.
You would need a setup with an external ADC (so USB connected) for better quality (if the mic etc. is up to it) and for the possibility of stereo.
A dedicated audio recorder such as one of the Zoom models can give massively better results, with an all-in-one device.
You can get really superb results with a phone or tablet by using a proper audio interface and good mics, but not for $50 and it's not in any way a portable setup..
If you can stretch your budget a bit, you can get a Zoom H1N from Amazon for about $100
That's a small all-in-one device that would give vastly better results, both quality (24 bit @ 96KHz, far beyond "CD" quality) and stereo, than any portable setup using a phone.
You just need an SD card to record on. Make sure it's not a cheap ebay fake, though..
