The perimeter circles the area. You may determine the perimeter, in this case, by multiplying the length and width by 2. So 17+27=44. 44x2= 88 ft perimeter.

The area is what's contained by the perimeter. It is measured in square feet (ft2). You may find this by multiplying the length by the width. So 17*27 = 459 ft2.

(a)

Solving the Area of a rectangular lawn

A = LW = (27ft)(17ft) = 459 ft^2 answer/

/Solving the perimeter of rectangular lawn

P = 2L + 2WP = 2(17) + 2(27) = 88 ft answer//

linear units = [ft].

Lawn dimensions = LxW = 27x17.

(a) Area = (27*17)[ft]^2 = 459[ft]^2.

.....Perimeter = 2(L+W) = 2(44)[ft] = 88[ft].

(b) Perimeter.

(c) Area.
