But FIRST you must look to see how that planet/need interacts with the REST of your planets/needs. And these interactions are shown by colored lines in your natal chart, connecting one planet with another. These lines show certain distances which create an interaction, and we call these distances “aspects”.
Some aspects indicate harmony between two planets/needs.. .their needs operate in ways that support each other. And so the STYLE of action for both planets will be smooth and effective. These are shown by blue or green lines. And the positive style of the Signs these planets are in will be brought out.
For instance, a well-aspected Sun in Aquarius means you seek inner wholeness through positive Aquarius behaviors: friendly but distant, objective, finding your own way and not blindly doing what everyone else does. True individuality.
Other aspects indicate inner discord and tension between two planets/needs. These are shown by red lines. When two planets/needs interact in this way, one need conflicts with the other need. So when you try to pursue one need, it interferes with getting the other need met … creating failure, tension, discord, frustration. It brings out the negative style of the involved Signs.
For instance, a badly aspected Sun in Aquarius means you seek inner wholeness through negative Aquarius behaviors: blind rebellion, rejecting everything and everyone, erratic unpredictable behavior that can screw things up badly, being SO individualistic that you cannot fit in anywhere, being SO “logical” that you do not take emotional considerations into account. Being SO unemotional and distant that no one responds positively to you.
So we look at the aspects BEFORE we consider the Signs.
In the case of the Moon, we MUST have the time and place to see what aspects Moon makes … Moon takes only 2.5 days to move through one sign, so in one 24-hour period, it moves 12 to 15 degrees .. and we only allow a distance of 8 degree-spread (plus/minus) for any aspect. So someone born at 2 am may have Moon aspecting Venus, but someone born at 10 pm was born after there was no longer a Moon-Venus aspect.
Based on only the date of birth, you DO have Sun conjunct Neptune, sextile Pluto (harmonious) and square Mars (discordant).
We cannot tell what aspects your Moon makes. Not with only the day of birth.
No astrologer writes out reports. Written reports are just a list of influences that may or may not cover how YOU experience each separate influence .. and the computer program is not able to put it all together into a whole, so all none of the contradictions make sense.
Astrologers know the theory, but we do not know how YOU react to the influence of your birthchart, nor can we possibly think up all the possible ways YOU might feel this influence … nor can we ascertain how much of your birthchart you have mastered and are not longer influenced by it.
That is why all real astrological intepretations are actually consultations … the astrologer and the client sitting down and discussing the chart in a two-way conversation that lasts 1-2 hours.
Astrology takes time to master, but no one can know you chart better than YOU can, because only YOU knows what is going on inside of you. But, quite frankly, the more self-aware someone is the more they don’t get new information from a chart analysis .. they already know themselves and the specifics of their birthchart just confirms that.

Sun sign is who you want to be, moon is your soul.
