I'd say the same, honestly, the reason why people are so worried is because it's in all the headlines

The common flu has a fatality rate of about 0.1%

About 1 out of 1000 people who get influenza die.

The SARSCOV2 virus is a lot more deadly.

About 20% of those infected get seriously ill and in China about 15% die.

The fatality rate would be much lower in a country with more critical care beds and respirators for severe pneumonia.

Corona virus has about a 3% mortality rate.

The common flu is less than 1%.

So slightly more dangerous but not greatly so.

You can’t calculate the fatality rate until the epidemic is over because some of those who are survivors now are early on in their infection and will die.
