Absolutely a bad idea unless you are specifically trying to train the horse against spooking at "attack from above". We have seen ponies at a birthday party spook at the bubbles from a bubble machine. Horses are prey animals and spooking is how they avoid getting caught and eaten by predators. Your glider eats horses. So do bubbles. Don't believe me? Ask a horse.

PS: You certainly do not know how to train the horse against spooking. Learn how before trying.

To cause a well-trained horse to spook, set up a situation something like you've already considered. If the rider survives he may beat you up. If not, you've just gotten away with murder, maybe. Some riders are very good at staying on and if sufficiently angered might set the horse to killing you.

Possibly. Horses are highly variable in what they will spook at. It would certainly be an unfamiliar sight and could provoke a reaction.
