Is they a connection here?
So recently I decided to get healthier, completely cut energy drinks out my system and didn't cut sugar out completely but definitely lower how much sugar I consume and to add on I've started exercising.
But since I've made these changes I've become a lot more gassy and going the toilet more often and I'm wondering is that because I've cut sugars out near enough and started exercising

Cutting sugar shouldn't make you more gassy, but increasing consumption of some foods can (esp fresh produce). There can be side effects to 'sugar detox' but flatulence isn't one of them. Exercise, depending on the type you're doing, may be causing air in your colon to move around and cause you to expel it, but exercise itself doesn't typically cause gas (just may cause it to move around).
