Proper way to spell “mama”? ?

Momma, mamma, mama, etc...?

Part of my family’s Italian, I assume different languages spell different ways but is there an “english” version too..? Not mom which you type, but momma which you speak.. (However you spell it...)

Mama is pretty much universal and most typical, although there may be other spellings.

In US English, it's spelled "mama."

Right. Momma used to be the spelling decades ago, but now we use "mama." Something similar happened with Nana. It used to be Nanna, now it's Nana.

Seriously not trying to troll here.....

What about the good ol "mum" used in parts of the UK?

As in "This is my mum."

ha! you wish it was so easy. in America, there are regional variations. I've seen both mama and mamma, although the first is more commonly used

In Italian it's either Mama or Mamma. Either is correct. In the good ole US of A it's probably Momma. I prefer the Italian version. But I am a Brit.
