if an accountant told me I wouldn't have to file taxes, do I need to send any forms in?

    If the accountant is correct, do nothing.  The IRS really doesn't want tax forms where you weren't required to file.

    Be advised if you had healthcare through the ACA with a subsidy as that is automatically a filing requirement.

    If the accountant is correct, no you do not have to send anything in.

    There are times where you might want to file anyway even if you are not required to, like to get a refund.
