medical-wise, there are no health benefits of drinking urine unless you are in extreme levels of thirst.. i was reading about an Egyptian man who was buried under a collapsed building for days with his family.. while he was trapped under the rubble, he encouraged his wife and kids to drink her own urine as he was doing.. he was a lone survivor..
drinking your own urine can help you in the short term during a disaster or in extreme cases of isolation and desperation.. but no.. there are no real medical benefits in drinking urine.. you have to remember that urine is a waste product; the body dumps out most of its waste and hazardous compounds in the urine, so why drinking it at all?
furthermore, the urine maybe sterile in the urinary bladder, but as it is passed out to the urethra, it gets contaminated with some really harmful bacteria that has the ability to cause upset stomach (when ingested) -- one of which is Helicobacter Pylori species that are known to cause stomach ulcers..
please avoid these misleading health benefits of drinking urine.. it all started when a British healer John Armstrong claimed in 1944 that urine contains all the health benefits of healing mouth ulcers, improving eye-sight, improving the function of the immune system and the Thyroid function, and other nutrition unsubstantiated claims that more than 50 years of medical research had failed to prove.. some cultures perform this habit regularly as part of religious and/or traditional practices, but most mainstream religions do not encourage these practices, AFAIK..

If you were on a lifeboat at sea with no water, or lost in the desert with no water, drinking your own or someone else's piss might have a benefit. The only other benefit would be if you get hard drinkin' your own or someone else's piss. Other than that, no.

There are no benefits to drinking urine.
Urine is not sterile, as some may falsely claim. Your body is full of microorganisms. But the bugs living in one place that help you often harm you badly if introduced anywhere else.
