Do most young (millennial and younger) people finance or lease their cars?

I see them driving new cars, and most people at my work said that they lease and finance. They are my age and younger.

Update:

I am a millennial.

Update 2:

I see them driving brand new cars worth 25k+.

More leasing and less finance because cheaper (generally speaking)

Some millennials are fast approaching 40.

Many have careers and are buying cars much more expensive than $25K.

Most people finance cars regardless of their age.

Option 1 - shell out a bunch of money on a car in one lump sum

Option 2 - get a low interest loan so you can use someone else's money.

I had read that most of them in larger cities don't even drive or own cars.

Most people who have cars and who are younger than Millennials had their cars given to them by their parents.
