Real choppers, or helicopters have VERY advanced controls because They do WAY more things then that toy does... Each blade on top of a copter not only spins around to create an uplifting effect by forcing air downwards, but they also rotate, or change the angle if the blade, to provide more, or less lift, & a copter is setup so the blades are at a different angle when they're at a different spot in the blades 360' rotation, so say the front part of the blades are at a steep angle, the rear a shallow angle, & each side is slightly somewhere in between...

This can do two things: #1 make it easier for the copter to start at a hover, THEN start moving forward, or vice verse, AND #2 combat an effect known only to helicopter/chopper pilots known as downdraft, whereas if You hover in the same spot for too long, at any altitude (but it's worse closer to the ground/water), with an older style copter that lacks blade trim adjustment, or aren't trimming Your' blades properly... the air You are shoving down starts to make the turbulence shape of a donut around You, as the air goes down, it comes back up outside the tip of Your' rotor blades, & ends up above You getting sucked back in to the rotor, & this creates a vicious cycle that will eventually get so strong, & it happens suddenly, and all at once, that it will literally shove the helicopter down in a low pressure underneath You, yet high pressure above You, and make You come crashing down into the ground/water...

There's many other complicated things a modern chopper/helicopter does, or can do, that toys cannot, or don't have to do, like to combat a crosswind, etc., but I think You get the picture.

Why are helicopter controls complicated? Because they are very complex machines. They are not toys.

They are complicated because in a real helicopter, you want to control both sets of blades independently.

Flying a toy or small helicopter and flying a full size one are not the same thing.

They aren’t too difficult, main controls is a joystick. There’s a reason people who want to learn to fly start out getting a helicopter license.

With a toy, you don’t have to worry about air quality, wind, traffic, communications etc. Most of the controls is that kind of thing rather than actually controlling the helicopter.

no, the max damage  a toy helicopter could do is get stuck somewhere, a real helicopter (if improperly operated) could get you stuck between death and a huge lawsuit.

the other fancy buttons on a real helicopter are for coms, radios, stuff needed for survival, etc because they are transporting human lives. toy helicopters only need 3 controls, up and down, left and right, and the on or off button, since its a harmless toy
