how can i decode an asus motherboard's serial number to find out its manufacture date?

So i bought a new motherboard with B360 chip and also a 9th gen Intel cpu, then i figured b360 boards that are manufactured in 2018 don't support Intel's 9th generation CPUs and would need a bios update for that.

i dont know if its okay to just put the cpu on it and see what happens!

so i wanna know the manufacture date of my motherboard

never mind , it was a 2019 product and the bios was ready for 9th gen cpu...

The link below is to the ASUS support page that lists the supported CPUs and does indicate several 9 series are supported at least with BIOS/UEFI  updates as each revision won't necessarily support anything that comes out after its release date.

The link to the BIOS/UEFI files is available via the blue 'GO' button.

    Good luck.

The serial number and manufacturing date relationship is not easy to predict as it varies from maker to maker and from product to product.

ask the asus via their support page on the website. and, i'm sure they'll tell you to flash the BIOS [UEFI] and that's all that will be required
