Is polish considered italian?

My dads polish and my moms puerto rican.

Is polish the same as italian?

Is it okay to say I'm half italian and half spanish?

    No.

    It's not the same.

    It's very different.

    Polish means from Poland.

    Italian means from Italy.

    They are both European.

    You could say:  I have European parents.  This way would hide their differences.

    ah, that wonderful American grasp of geography - you can't beat it. Puerta Rica is Carribean, isn't it? Not so much Spanish as Latin-American.

    Polish isn't even remotely the same as Italian .. and not everyone in Puerto Rico 

    would be considered Spanish .. why'd you lie about it ? Are you that ashamed ?

    Not even close, they are over 1,000 miles from each other.  Poland is a Slavic country that speaks a Slavic language called Polish.  Italy is a Latin country that speaks a Latin based language called Italian.  Poland is all about kielbasas and pierogis.  Italy is about pasta and Mediterranean food.  Poland gets snowy in the winter, most of Italy does not.  Poland borders the Baltic Sea, Italy the Adriatic/Tyrrhenean/Meditteranean Sea.  They are pretty distinct culturally.
